AutoSAM 3.51 Hydrodynamic Bar Feeder Overview

The AutoSAM 3.51 is a sophisticated hydrodynamic bar feeder designed for lathes, suitable for small, medium, and large series production. It shares many features with its smaller counterpart, the AutoSAM 3.26, and is particularly well-suited for connection to sliding headstock lathes (Swiss type).

This bar feeder features a calibration-free material clamping system that utilizes collets for automatic centric positioning, significantly reducing the time required for material changes. The Mitsubishi PLC control system, equipped with a PC board, ensures high process reliability and simplifies communication with the lathe.

Compatibility

The AutoSAM 3.51 is compatible with a wide range of lathes, including popular brands like Citizen, Star, Nomura, Mazak, Okuma, DMG Mori, SMEC, Doosan, Nakamura, CMZ, Takamaz, and Hwacheon. It comes with a control panel featuring a function display for easy machine settings adjustments, complete with multilingual menu navigation and standard error messages.

For added convenience, the hydrodynamic bar feeder includes a portable remote control box for safe and comfortable setup. The loading device is easily adjustable without the need for tools, saving time and effort during material diameter changes. Mitsubishi servo motors provide precise feeding, high speed, and exact positioning.

The abrasion-resistant quick-change channels facilitate rapid changeover, minimizing vibrations and noise. An optional synchronization device electronically coordinates the movements of the headstock with those of the ram, ensuring maximum precision and high reliability. Additionally, the optional telescopic nose is designed for sliding headstocks, providing necessary operator safety and excellent material guidance.

The Anti-Vibration Device effectively minimizes vibrations, featuring automatically centering, easily replaceable dampers. The hydrostatic bar guiding system ensures quiet turning operations. Variable parameter settings, alarm recognition, and function display enhance overall functionality. Mitsubishi AC servo motors drive the system, and the fixed steel construction offers robust stability. Mechanical synchronization allows the CNC lathe to be used with sliding headstock, guaranteeing fast and safe loading. Quick-change channels enable easy retooling.
