The Multi 4000 EVO is a modern, fully automatic bar feeder for lathes, designed for maximum productivity, high process reliability, and extremely short setup times. Based on the proven Multi series, the Multi 4000 EVO combines Swiss engineering expertise with German manufacturing precision and is built using high-quality materials and durable components.

Automatic Diameter Adjustment – Faster Changeovers, Higher Efficiency

The key advantage of the Multi 4000 EVO compared to previous generations is its automatic diameter adjustment. This feature significantly reduces manual setup work and enables fast, error-free changeovers. It is the ideal solution for manufacturers with frequent material changes and small batch sizes.

Integrated Shift Unit – Flexible X or Z Orientation

Unlike earlier models, the Multi 4000 EVO is equipped with a shift unit as standard. Depending on the machine layout, it can be configured in X or Z orientation, ensuring maximum flexibility when integrating the bar feeder with different lathe types. Various length options are available to perfectly match your production environment.

Intuitive Control System with 7″ Touch Display

The modern control system of the Multi 4000 EVO features an intuitive user interface on a 7-inch touch display.
All parameters, messages, and error notifications are clearly explained and accessible via information windows, allowing quick operation even without a manual. Programs and settings can be easily read out and saved to an SD card, making service, backups, and machine changes simple and efficient.

Fast, Precise, and Material-Friendly Operation

With a feed speed of up to 80 m/min, the Multi 4000 EVO is approximately 30% faster than its predecessor.
Thanks to its well-engineered design, setup and changeover can be completed in just 2–5 minutes. The patented lifting mechanism ensures a shock-free loading cycle, gentle material feeding, and precise bar positioning without the need for a mechanical stop.

Compatible with Almost All Lathe Types

The Multi 4000 EVO bar feeder is compatible with nearly all common lathe brands, including:

Mazak, Okuma, DMG Mori, SMEC, Doosan, Nakamura, CMZ, Takamaz, Hwacheon, and many more.

For lathes with a particularly large distance between the machine enclosure and spindle nose, the Multi 4000 SL is available as an alternative solution.

Extended Bar Length with SamSpindle

In standard bar feeders, bar length is limited by the spindle length of the lathe. In combination with the SamSpindle, the Multi 4000 EVO can reliably load bars of up to 1.6 meters, enabling even more efficient production processes.

Material Versatility and Optional Equipment

As standard, the bar feeder can process round and hexagonal bars.
Optionally, square bars and special materials can also be loaded. Square bars require the square loading prism, while special materials require the Uni straightener.

Another available option is the Mini Shaft Loader, which allows extremely short bars to be loaded in the shortest possible time. The Mini Shaft Loader was designed as an additional option for use with the SamSpindle, enabling the bar feeder to handle bars up to 1.6 m as well as bars starting from 40 mm in length.
